Learn& Serve Worcester

Fall 2019:

Matthew 25 is quickly approaching the need for inside painting, etc. at their newest site, 9 Mount Pleasant Street Worcester. They are also still working on the creation of a beautiful stone wall using materials mined from the site. If your group is interested in helping to complete this work, please email

Summer 2020:

If you are interested in putting together a work group for two or more days, please let us know. You are welcome to consider staying overnight in Worcester or to go back and forth as you prefer. Should a work group like to stay in Worcester, we invite local churches to consider acting as host (offering sleeping, kitchen facilities and/or showers), and/or to provide a meal during the week to the group.

Habitat for Humanity

On Sepember 18, 2019, WAMS hosted a Habitat / Thrivent Building on Faith event that brought members of the faith community together to discuss the critical need for affordable housing in our communities. With conversation and discussion at the forefront of this event, the opportunity for volunteers to participate in an Operation Playhouse build was also provided. See the event program and pictures below for an overview of speakers and topics addressed. The Engagement Menu is a great start for anyone who wants to learn more about the many ways to help with this important issue.
